A performance about Nizhny Novgorod featuring the city’s residents.
This is the first large-scale project in Nizhny Novgorod to adopt the format of community theatre. It involves local residents of different ages, professions, and levels of audience and performance experience, all of whom were selected through an open call and took part in a three-week laboratory. They appear on stage as performers, speaking in their own voices.
The monologues of Nizhny Novgorod residents—heroes of our time—recorded in interviews by the playwright and the director are performed by professional actors.
